What is the bonding process?

The first step is to get your natural teeth whitened if you desire, before beginning the bonding process since artificial materials, like bonding resin, will not respond to whitening treatments.
On the day of your appointment, your dentist will choose the resin shade that most closely matches the colour of your recently whitened, natural teeth.
Next, in order to make sure the resin adheres well, your dentist will lightly roughen the surface of your teeth. You should not feel any discomfort, as this is a superficial technique. Lastly, the resin, which is in a taffy-like form, will be modelled to the surface of your teeth and then light is used to cure, or harden it.
