How It Works
Your dentist will decide the number of check-ups, hygiene appointments and dental x-rays you're likely to need on an annual basis. Treatment is always at the discretion of the dentist.
Your payment is collected by Denplan monthly by Direct Debit. A one-off registration fee of £15 is payable when you join.
Your dentist will then let you know your monthly fee to spread the cost of your ongoing routine care.
You may save up to 15% with Family Group Discounts if one Direct Debit covers more than one Denplan patient registered at the same practice and if offered by your dentist.

Denplan Essentials can help you keep your teeth and gums healthy. Hygiene treatment (scale and polish) is included, so you can be confident about your smile when socialising with family, friends and work colleagues. And if you want to go further, the plan includes dental advice from your dentist about additional treatment options which could enhance your smile.

Routine preventative care from your dentist includes:
- Check-ups*
- Scaling, polishing and other hygiene treatment
- Preventative dental advice
- Dental x-rays*
Any additional treatment specified as included by the dentist in your contract.

What doesn't it cover?
The following are not covered with your Denplan Essentials plan:
- Restorative dental treatments including fillings, crowns, bridges or dentures
- Laboratory fees and prescriptions
- Referral to a specialist and specialist treatment
- Orthodontics, implants, cosmetic treatment
- Sedation fees
How to I sign up?
Signing up is simple.
It’s not necesary to have a pre-assessment before joining Denplan Essentials. It’s quick and easy to get started. Simply have a chat with your dentist and arrange an appointment.
The dentist will discuss your dental care with you and tailor a plan to fit your needs. They will ask you to sign a contract with them and complete an application form which is then sent to us.

Denplan Supplementary Insurance
For just 60p a month you can receive Denplan Supplementary Insurance which provides:
Temporary emergency dental treatment in the UK (up to £450 per incident. Maximum amount payable £900 per calendar year.
Temporary emergency dental treatment when overseas (up to £470 per incident. Maximum amount payable £940 per calendar year).
Up to £62 for each night you stay in hospital under the care of a dental or maxillofacial surgeon for dental treatment for up to one year.
Up to £12,000 towards one course of mouth cancer treatment for up to 18 months following diagnosis (smokers are included).
